Welcome to the new decade!!! 2019 was full of growth, yet we are content to say goodbye to last year and say hello to the next beautiful chapter of life!

What have we been up to?
While last year was all about hearing God's voice, asking for clarity and adjusting our sails, we are certain of one thing: 2020 is all about the Monroe House of Prayer (lovingly called MHOP for short). In our last update, we briefly mentioned the House of Prayer, but didn't give you any details. We can share more now, as our project is well underway! In August, we oversaw the liquidation of the Brookstone Christian Academy (which occupied the space that is now the House of Prayer), and spent months cleaning, and selling items from the old space.
During this time, we also lead the 6 hour prayer room at OneNight, a city-wide prayer event held at the MB&T Center, which happened to land on Hannah's 29th birthday! From August until the end of the year, Jake officiated two weddings, we lead Ember on Halloween, Hannah attended the Priceless Women's Conference, and hosted a fundraiser for Redeeming Africa's Hope, a non-profit in Kenya. In September we gathered a leadership team to begin steering the pioneering season of MHOP, and began planning the physical renovations for our building as well as began fundraising to furnish our over 3,000 square ft. facility. To date, our team has raised over $7,000 of the $15,000 needed for MHOP's launch, and we hosted a seminar for the community to learn about what this ministry will do.
We had over 80 people from the community attend our seminar to worship with us in the new space, and become equipped with basic knowledge of the House of Prayer model. We were blown away with the turnout, and the positive feedback we received from those in attendance. The church of Monroe is expectant and ready for a House of Prayer, solely dedicated to magnifying the name of Jesus in Monroe!

Want to get involved?
Thank you to all of our wonderful partners who pray for, and sow into our family in various ways. It is vital that our family becomes fully funded, as we have set aside and dedicated our life to the establishment of the House of Prayer in our city. We remain at a deficit in our monthly budget, and are believing God to see this need be filled. We currently do not receive any funding from MHOP, so continued partnerships for our family are crucial to the work that we do.
